Marc Capener is a National Board (NCCAOM) and Hawaii State Certified Licensed Acupuncturist L.Ac, known among Acupuncturists Honolulu. Born and raised in Honolulu, Hawaii, he studied at the University of Hawaii, Manoa. He earned a Bachelor’s B.S. in Ethno-Botany. He then attended the Institute of Clinical Acupuncture & Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM).
It was there Marc received his Master’s M.S.O.M degree in Oriental Medicine.
Additionally, Marc trained four years under Acupuncturists Honolulu, Leon Letoto, who taught Chinese medicine and Qi Gong for 40 years.
After finishing his residency with Leon Letoto L.Ac Marc founded Acupuncture Arts Hawaii Acupuncture & Herb Clinic. The clinic is located in downtown Honolulu, Hawaii Century Square 1188 Bishop St Suite 2608.
Marc Capener is a Master Herbalist and Acupuncturist Honolulu. He has spent many years studying Hawaiian herbology, horticulture, soil science, and Chinese Herbology.
Additionally, He teaches ‘Introduction to Chinese Herbology’ at I.C.A.O.M. He is Head Caretaker of the school’s herb farm, where many Chinese medicinal herbs are grown organically.
Marc Capener has an extensive background in martial arts. He earned a 2nd degree black belt from J.I.K.C Karate, a black belt in Aikhi-Bhudo, and a black sash in Wing Chun Kuen under Sifu John Divirgilio.
He currently teaches Wing Chun Kuen in Honolulu. He is an Acupuncturist Honolulu.
As such, he specializes in musculoskeletal injuries and sports medicine, including herbal liniments (Yuk Jiao), fire cupping, Chinese massage (Tui Na), and electro stimulation. Other specialties include PTSD, addiction, heat therapy (moxibustion), facial beautification, and insomnia.

- Leon Letoto was a man of many talents & accolades. Most notably he was a senior Chinese Medicine practitioner, Master Herbalist & practiced ‘Spring Wind Qi Qigong for 45 years. Leon had practiced Chinese Medicine for over 40 years at his own Acupuncture Clinic “Earth Song Acupuncture. He taught many courses at both Chinese Medicine schools in Hawaii I.C.A.O.M & ‘World Medicine Institute. Including Chinese Dietary Therapy & Advanced techniques He was also a Knighted in the Royal order of Ka’meha’meha’.
- Unfortunately, he passed away in 2023.
